"how long they'll still pay well"

1) But can they pay you in the altcoin of your choice and what altcoin would that be?

2) Then have other disillusioned/perplexed/frustrated tech bros follow your processes and choices including using crypto debit cards.

3) Foster uptake with non-techies.

4) Embed the altcoin into real-world assets (tokenization) including the ones you own.

5) Wait for the altcoin value to explode.

Problem solved - well the problem isn't really financial or "AI" - it's communal and lack of shared vision which propagates wealth inequality.

They could also make money from them using micropayments. Free if there's a delay. Then split proceeds with creators.

Would that money be even remotely comparable to the engineering time spent on this, especially compared to the money they're making on ads?

Point taken, but - I think it's a good way to start a micropayment culture. It's like putting numbers up on houses - they're just cheap digits but all of a sudden people can receive mail. Actually, YT micropayments would be like having a PO box.

"money making ads" I'm surprised they haven't made their own coin to go with that. Perhaps a new coin should be part of that micropayment culture. Look what happened with Binance coin because so many people were using the site already and they could roll one out.

In reality, they could have made so much money from Gmail account recovery too. All of Google's shelved projects - maybe all they need is an efficient micropayment system to slap on whatever they put out - Google Reader included.

Can we not do things for fun anymore?

Only for a while, then we want tips when the fun wears off. Imagine Google Reader was still going because the maintainers got the most micropayment tips, and thus the best raises/promotions, while also having the most fun at work. What do you think?

I think it should have a removable/detachable screen that can still be on hinge if need be as many people won't even travel with it, and will put the screen on a stand - or it could have foldable support legs.

The screen and main unit could be purchased independently too. Another idea would be to have a second screen that can hang down from the first one for when it's on a desk stand.

As someone said elsewhere - no USB-A needed with USB docks via a single USB-C.

Another idea would be to have a hall effect keyboard - they are the best.

Is there a real person behind this? How come there is no contact/about page? In that respect, could it be a con-job of some sort? Have you had any users yet? Best of luck.

BUT, this could work for YT creators - if someone asks a question, payment is required for an answer. Sort of puts a wet blanket over the vibe though. How would it be implemented? Does the answer stay private? Where is it displayed?

Can broad questions be routed to the right channel? Should multiple answers be accepted, and the winning answer receive the funds? Should questions be bundled together?

Can more payment be required for a video response?

Unlike Dripstack, the idea here is to work with the underlying human, but maybe an answer can be derived from their content only without any human interference (like Dripstack.) But why not involve both where a relevant human (who is not a drip) can "Chime In."

How about a way to sell-off answers rather than have them be asked multiple times?

Won't conventional LLMs mop up any answers and then win the race to the bottom? Why pay for something if you can get it for free?

Cheaply de-bloating FOSS for SBCs is the future.

For TEE attestation - see Oasis - runs on the EVM too.

Obrari looks cool - see my previous comment about desiloing for an idea to use there.

Also, perhaps it could be relaunched for niche and composite hardware devices that have a special use? I have a good domain for that use case.

- also for Obrari, why not price in crypto too? Use subdomains like [coin name here].obrari.com - good for marketing.

Could even tie it in with crowd-funding, eg https://ccs.getmonero.org/ - but replicate that for every coin.

App idea: sumbit an OPML of YT channels. Scrape each for its blog or website. Find its subsequent rss. Return new OPML.

Derivative app: filter each rss feed, removing any post that is not video or multimedia (or just turning it into a media feed.)

For each: can be either client-side for 1 or cloud-enabled for many. Derivative app runs permanently.

-- For the main app, enable it to work on any number of websites where people are followed. Good for decoupling and de-silo'ing, and for bringing back rss.

Why not call it Slopify? Humans are the new vinyl.

https://flippa.com/12100071 - I was wondering why SmashHaus was for sale. (no affiliation) Peak value. It's only downhill from here for outsourced music.

It'd be good to know when something typed has "gone live" or is every keystroke submitted in realtime? Google Wave had that. Can lead to embarrassment and clutter/distraction. Maybe have a time buffer?

Maybe have background color changes to indicate status?

Also, I like the idea of removing the need to press enter..maybe a time delay on "auto-submit." Also, after editing, allow another background color change as someone may change something many hours later.

Can you remove the need for mouse clicks when editing? Just mouseover and then type. Then after a pause (or mouse out,) auto-submit.

Also, I was thinking about a forum for tinkering.. maybe have a way to attach a url to any comment as an extra field?

So the key idea here is to have a browser extension that loads comments for any URL you visit. This has been tried before. But it'd help to know what is being discussed. The web is a giant place.

Did you ever use FriendFeed? Perhaps instead of subscribing to people you subscribe to URLs? Anytime you see a URL that interests you, you select "interesting" - same with people. Have the right side of the screen be a feed-of-feeds.

Also, as with the original Plastic.com, a way to submit as anonymous if required. Also, where is the content stored? Privacy/security/transparency/encryption are the big issues. Maybe have logins with a random string that is used for encryption?

Don't ask for email addresses. Have a "kill-switch" string as well. You could also have a dead-man's-switch built in as well to avoid killing an account. Paste bins usually have a period attached to them.

Can you get micropayments involved? Ask-me-anythings can lead to revenue for people who get asked. People need to pay to view an answer, or pay to view all a user's comments. Or, all old comments require payment - that'd entice people to write things that stand the test of time. Who knows? Split revenue.

Create a leader board of the largest money earners. Attract insiders of all types - people who would otherwise be on the prediction markets. Is that possible? Those sites will end up becoming more risky over time for insiders, I suspect. So make it a place to sell secrets. (muahaha - actually don't) Leader boards can be gamed too, another problem.

Charge for image storage and/or display after a set number of images has been reached.

Are you able to invent a long term CAPTCHA? Maybe have it integrate with the browser extension previously mentioned. How can you guarantee humans?
