The food court is where we can all be ourselves.

When I shop early I salute the people having breakfast in the food court. One afternoon I saw people at a table with an empty rotisserie chicken package, hittin' their macros. I had my baby with me one time, offering him bites of my hotdog and being praised for being a man spending time with my child as if I had vaccinated a needy village.

I can't think of another clothing retailer that has garments right there in front of you that you can touch and hold up to your body, the experience is far superior to just looking at photos.

You can do this at Target, Wal-Mart, The Gap (incl. Banana Republic, Old Navy), any department store (Macy's, Bloomingdales, Saks), Paul Stuart, Brooks Brothers. I'm struggling to think of anywhere you cannot do this. Did you drop some qualifier that would restrict "clothing retailer" to a smaller category?

huh? Have you never bought clothing in person before? Is Costco really your only exposure to buying clothes in a physical space? Is "big shop full of clothes" an American thing no one has ever pointed out to me?

Plus every manufacturer discount is technically advertising revenue for Costco (or any retailer).

Affiliations with providers of products like insurance, bottled water delivery, checks and the credit card are also sources of revenue.

I think about this a lot too. There always seems to be a fitness trend involving classes like aerobics, yoga, pilates, Taibo, Zumba. But if we're talking about weight training, it is definitely having a moment now.

I wonder if all the instructional content on Youtube makes training with weights and weight machines more accessible than ever. I was intimidated by weights and figured it would be boring. A guy I knew was talking about his weight training and I asked if he plans things out with friends/workout buddies and he said he learns about it on YouTube. So when I finally pushed myself to try weights, I found a video. It was a petite woman (I'm a dude) and I thought, ok she looks better than I do and this routine is a nice start. And I went from there, in my forties.

My funniest theory is that dating has been getting more competitive and strength-training is good for confidence.

I think you mean he has a bunker in New Zealand because he expected so much violence. I don't think anyone should engage in violence (or property damage) like this.

Project 2025 and the Trump administration is the most success ant-growth movements have ever had.

Enter the country and you interact with CBP and that hasn't changed. CBP agents are the ones who murdered the legal observers in Minneapolis so there's that.

TSA checks bags for commercial airlines which is a service that should never have been nationalized.

It would really be amazing if the end result of all of this is the post-9/11 DHS finally gets reverted back to what we had before.

An amazing start.

Some airports started allowing bottled water already. We'll be back to pre 9/11 levels in 40 or so years.

I was going to say "this is just a license"

"We offer a commercial license to a worse version of our software that may contain bugs. Enjoy!"

Are the think pads at $1000 crappy?

It's great that there is choice in the market isn't it?

Absolutely! I wasn't arguing for the elimination of choice.
