Ya, I believe the OP was talking about the five pages of story-telling before the recipe that requires you to annoyingly scroll until you find the recipe ingredient list. I came here for a cookie recipe, not a story about how you discovered you liked oatmeal cookies when you were 12, but then became a raisin-cookie fanatic, before moving back to chocolate chips, when you suddenly remembered your Grandma baked you peanut butter cookies as a kid. /sic
Oh, you forgot all their allergies. Every cook on the internet has an allergy to everything but the substitute. "That's when I found out I'm allergic to flour, eggs, milk, butter, salt, chocolate, meat and fruit. Here's my healthy recipe for chocolate chip cookies made from tofu, himalayan sand, gerbil presents and wheatgrass." No! First, it's not a chocolate chip cookie then! It's an unholy abomination of sadness. Wheatgrass is just lawn clippings! Something is wrong with you!
Look, I have the very sad allergy to hazelnuts... I love hazelnuts... but they don't love me. Also soy. Soy is borderline deadly to me even in small amounts. So, I can't have asian food without cooking it myself. Fish sauce sans soy fermentation is my substitute. I do get the allergy issue and being left out in many foods. But I find it so damn hard to believe that all these people are allergic to everything but these "healthy alternatives" that end up being nutritionally empty. Then they wonder why they're suddenly anemic. Then they don't get enough sun because their skin "suddenly" became sensitive. Then they have depression issues. Then they can't shit straight. Then they start cutting back on other foods. Then they have to live on horse pills.
Sorry, rant. Got angry.
Fun argument to have with the next anti-vaxxer you meet. If they argue about mercury or lead being in vaccines, agree with them. Just flat out agree with how terrible it is. Then ask if they like Himalayan sea salt. There's like a 99.9% chance they love it, along with essential oils. "You do know there are more trace amounts of mercury and lead in Himalayan sea salt than in vaccines?" You will then agree with me that mental gymnastics needs to be in the next Olympics. It's amazing how they'll talk around it. Make some popcorn, open a beer and watch the show.
By my current standards (which were totally mainstream in tech communities in the 90s) most modern non-FOSS software these days is malware. And some of the FOSS stuff is too, depending on what build you get.
Wow, this is disturbing. Lest we forget that LinkedIn has been a Microsoft subsidiary for three years now. I wonder if Microsoft is doing this elsewhere too?
LinkedIn has been doing this (and a few other shady dark patterns) since way before being acquired by MSFT. And MSFT seems to be letting the recently acquired companies do their own thing and not interfere, which is what employees of those startups would most likely prefer. Not saying that this kind of hands-off approach is the best idea here (because i dont have a strong opinion on that), but i dont think it is fair to extrapolate the shady behavior of LinkedIn (that has been documented since a very long time ago) to the rest of MSFT
Mapmakers had a similar problem in the past, but the theft could be proven by creating data (“trap streets”) that didn’t exist. Sounds like Genius has been employing similar mechanisms and needs to proceed with legal remedies
It will be marketed a lot better, it will be slightly more efficient and function more easily as money and it will also much more evil and bring a curse across the land, making horses lame and suchlike.
If you keep the default settings and use it to buy anything it will spam your 'friends' just like Farmville. "Joe Wilson just used Libra to remove the ransomware from his Dell, how will you use it?".
Lost all faith in Stellar after they screwed up their database and wouldn’t let me reset my password. In email they admitted their mistake but couldn’t do anything. I wouldn’t trust this
That seems odd. I've had nothing but good experiences with the Stellar community resolving any issues.
Not saying you were not mistreated, however a little context would be nice for clarification.
Why did you need to reset your password in the database? Did you simply want a new one or did you lose the original?
A lot of times when dealing with various wallets/keys you are told that your private key used to recover your wallet you need to write down/keep safe as there is no way to ever recover that/reset it, and that is by design.
I am wondering if it was this key that they were unable to reset for you or something else.
