For sure, because copy pasting from stackoverflow was already to difficult. Everyone loves writing business logic in computer understandable words. Name it LLM, programming language, calculator, there is still parser and interpreter. The only switch is attempt to replace deterministic machines with not deterministic machines by reducing machine error rate to acceptable percentage.
robots.txt should allow to exclude all AI crawlers and AI crawlers should be forced to add "AI" to their crawl user agent headers and also respect robots.txt saying they can't crawl this website
they respect robots.txt at least major ones like meta, claude, google, openai, based on my infra observations robots.txt is enough in 90%, 10% is just banning ip ranges for couple of days but those are no AI companies
Yeah let's put one computer / server room as a keeper of all knowledge. Let's make it cheap and powerfull so people instead of looking for knowledge in different places go to one place. In the meanwhile start couple of conflicts and spread fake news to make people hostile to each other so they don't like arguing. People decide to instead of arguing between each other let's just listen to computer to solve problems. Failure is painfull so just ask computer and our work is done. As more and more people would start asking powerfull computer for solution, other knowledge places will disappear due to lack of investments so powerfull computer will buy out everything that's left to eliminate competition. At some point computer gives another brillant idea to reduce our carbon footprint. Just stop printing books, selling computers with hard drives. Instead of that make lightweight terminals that stream knowledge from one place directly into human mind. What could go wrong if we eliminate that computer ?
Looks like people once again are trying to make very complicated measurements that micromanage workers instead of using classical approaches like "The iron triangle of project management" - good, fast and cheap.
Why is there no tool that shows a triangle with features, bugs and support quality. Because it would obviously show that there are no new features, terrible support and tons of bugs. Everyone is doing everything except the job that needs to be done. They do it to meet the requirements of newly created 20 indicators. And who is to blame for this ? Obviously not management, they just sit and watch indicators waiting to send those who are underperforming on the bar charts to the HR department for a little talk.
I'm not against or in favour of speed. History showed us many times that most people don't care about truth and correct solutions, people care about efficiency and moving things fast. Just look at gaming industry and preordering. Agile project management. This is what is called taking risks and making a jump into abbyss before we look what is underneeth. Taking risk is always praised. Question is which jump will be last one and will kill us all?
