Meanwhile irssi just removed support for DANE in the irc client which I believe means that there are now zero irc clients that will attempt to validate you aren't talking to a rogue irc server. Wasn't irssi the first and only to implement it? DNSSEC is dead on arrival. Nobody actually wants it.
