From the beginning Firefox's advantage was that it was a platform for extensions. Crowdsourcing features that later became standard, such as ad blocking and web debugging. It's mind-blowing to me that Mozilla has been on a quest to kill extensions and customization in the name of simplicity and supposed security. They will never be able to beat the wealthiest companies in human history that way.
