This is just embarrassing. Modern C++ is moving toward intricate types like Haskell, not parser and compiler mods like Lisp.


That's because, despite the article, C++ is not actually trying to become Lisp.

And, for all the smug superiority of the Lisp crowd, the niche that C++ is trying to occupy does seem to be significantly bigger than the Lisp niche...
